GKR Karate club

15th September 2017

Dear parents, carers and friends,

We have forged a partnership with GKR karate.  This is a local karate club, and some of our pupils attend their classes in different places around the area.  Some of their staff came and gave a presentation in today’s assembly.

As of the week beginning 25th September, we will be holding a karate club for children in year 1 and 2 every Monday after school, finishing at 4.15.  We will take the children from class to the main hall where they will be taught by members of GKR.  Children will require their PE kits to change into and a drink.  The course lasts for 6 weeks, and attendance every week is essential

This class is being heavily subsidised by school using our PE premium funding.  However, we will also require a £10 contribution from yourselves in order for your children to participate.  This represents extremely good value for a course of karate, and at the end of their 6 weeks the children will be given their first grade in Karate and will be presented with a certificate. They will then be given the opportunity to obtain full lifetime membership with GKR Karate at a heavily discounted rate of just £15 per student. Class fees are from as little as £6.50 per hour session and there are both family and online discounts.

Please complete and return the form below, along with your £10 contribution, in order for your child to attend.  There are 20 places, and the places are on a first come first served basis.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,
